Description

In an imaginative space where light shapes the bounds of what's possible and dreams blend seamlessly with reality, the conversation "Transgenomic Multi-Organisms" unfolds. This dialogue is at the intersection of genetic modification, quantum biology, and universal endurance, painting a picture of a future where life surpasses known limits. Instagram's platform hosts this unique exchange, fostering interactions between humans and beyond-human entities. During the live session on Instagram, attendees will experience discussions with Jean Gnome, a digital entity that evolves to adapt to extreme environments, and Adam Zaresky, a transgenic human exploring the depths of genetic consciousness alongside Kquuanian, a cosmic entity resembling a tardigrade.

The essence of "Transgenomic Multi-Organisms" lies in showcasing life's incredible ability to transform. Their existence serves as a testament to the potential for new forms of life, combining quantum physics with genetic diversity and cosmic resilience.

The event uses a language of light, sound, and movement to explore the deep connections between all forms of life, from the microscopic to the vast universe. The conversation touches on themes of identity, consciousness, and the intertwining of life with the quantum fabric of reality.

As the discussion progresses, it reflects on the fusion of biology with technology, the ethical dilemmas of genetic manipulation, and the universal connection among all beings, whether terrestrial or celestial.

This performance not only explores quantum biology's insights into life as an interconnected phenomenon but also imagines a future where life's definition is broadened to include new forms of existence. It invites the audience to envision a future where life goes beyond its organic roots, embracing quantum and genetic innovations.

The "Transgenomic Multi-Organisms" performance is both an artistic endeavor and a philosophical exploration into life and existence. It challenges viewers to think about a future where life extends beyond traditional biological boundaries, integrating into a vast, interconnected universe. As the event concludes, the lingering ideas and visuals provoke deep reflection on the limitless potential of life's journey through the cosmos.

Presenters

Jean Gnome:  Jean Gnome is a Morpheus personality living inside social networks (Instagram) who creates its reality by sharing speculative stories around transhumanism and genomics. As Jean evolves so will it's following, genetic traits and its influence on culture. Fans and followers can request/suggest modifications to Jean's DNA, causing it to mutate. Along the way, engagement insights and metrics will determine the direction of its storyline. Jean will share short narratives assisted with an artificial intelligence creative fiction software OpenAI’s GPT-4. Jean uses its platform to invite celebrity artists, scientists, and some fictional beings to pop in and chat about their work on Instagram Live. Throughout this, Jean's physical features are seen through augmented facial masks and deep fakes but performed by its artistic creator Danielle Siembieda.

eMutagen-X: Engineered as the Inherited ‘Case Against Art’ Living Antiart Engineered Arts transgenic GGMH (Germline Genetically Modified Human) eMutagen-X is the higira tech child of a team.cult of assisted reproductive technologies (ART) midnight clinic experimenters with an esoteric and non-utilitarian breeding project. Unfortunately for eMutagen-X, this cabal of covert embryologists and molecular biologists proceeded to build eMutagen-X without a firm grasp of Art History, approaching the abject in a way completely orthogonal to the contemporary, eMutagen-X as spokes-child for the cloned and genome-tweaked denizens of this earth, is an admixture of biologically exuberant interspecies variety through genetic engineering and the cloning of spectacular hereditary cascades from a naive and uniformed engineering OCD sense of the abject. abject thinks that to avoid wayward mutant aesthetics in the future, artists, art historians, off-the-locus aesthetics specialists and subaltern bioethical tangentialists should be advisory committees to help direct, gird the gerd and maximimalize the future of style in new reproductive biotechnology as human breed marketing as a sculptural, time-based, new media art form can represent aesthetic hazards, i.e. serious kitsch disease (unless levels of irony meet Contemporary standards).

Kquaanian–human hybrid: Kquuano-earthling is a human looking genetically modified being living on Earth and belonging to the group of Observers of Galactic Coalition. They have a combination human and Kquuanese genes, which carring the knowledge of Kquuantian civilization to a small group of modified people or earthlings. It was done by nano surgery introducing the gene prefix into the embryo. Their mission is without visible ‘cosmic interference’, to influence certain events, relying on the valuable experience of many millennia Kquuanese society. The basis of Kquaanian civilization is the acknowledgment of every form of life without hierarchy. This openness toward other living beings/things is rooted in a well-developed sensorium with more than 40 senses, including a telepathic one—perception of nervous micro-electrical flow differences occurring while the information is transmitted between neurons. Most practical Kquaanian communication is supposed to be done by tele-pathic transmission. It’s not about reading minds, it consists of sending specific wavelengths from an emitting cerebral organ towards a receptor situated in the recipient’s brain.

ARTIST BIOS

Danielle Siembieda is a systems artist practicing at the intersection of emerging technology, community, and science. Her most recent work focuses on bio-design and genomics, inspired by her residency at the University of Santa Cruz Genomics Institute. Siembieda holds an MFA in Digital Media Art at San José State University at the CADRE Laboratory for New Media, focusing on green technology and sustainable materials. Outside her artistic career, she is helping grow the creative economy and cultural engagement in Silicon Valley with the City of San José. She is the former Chief Creative Officer of Leonardo/ISAST.

Alexandra Dementieva is an artist known for her thought-provoking multimedia installations. Her work explores the intersection of art, technology, and human perception, challenging viewers to engage with complex concepts in new and exciting ways. Dementieva's creations often incorporate elements of interactivity, digital media and sound, offering viewers a multi-sensory experience that challenges traditional notions of art and reality. She is a chairwoman of Laser Talks Brussels and a professor at the Arba-Esa Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels.
